I decided to right a guide for those that are having troubling playing my mod properly. If you're having a problem and there not one of these, then ask me.
Q: I ran the game but i have white cars when i play!
A: Sounds like when you tryed to play my mod for the first time, you got the converting textures message, which delete's my textures and put's the orginal GTA3'S. If this happens, open the .RAR For my ultimategta3 mod, then extract models folder in the same folder as the one with white cars. Now play.
Q: The mod won't work. It gets on the splash screen, but then the game crashes and i hear the windows error sound!
A: You're loading a save game that was not from my mod, that was saved with a different main.scm. You must start a new game when you first play my mod, then after first mission you can save and load that save in my mod.
Q: After a while of playing, the game lags very badly, but it seems to happen when cars appear, and when there's none it doesn't happen.
A: If you're getting this, you may not have enough RAM, Graphic card is something like an intel chipset. Make sure you system at least meets these requirements.
512MB RAM
1.5 GHZ Processor
128MB Video card which is a ATI Or Nvidia.
If your system meets them, then try a disc defrag, downloading the best drivers for your graphic card, make sure there is no programs running when playing.
Also try ending all non essential processes.
Or, you could go onto task manager, click the processes tab, right click gta3.exe and set priority to high. You need to do this when GTA3 Is running.
Q: Roads, walls are taking time to load.
A: Make sure you have frame limiter enabled in options>display. If you do, you should do a disc defrag.

This is not true. Textures not loading is a hard drive output. Defrag your hard drive, and make sure no programs are running.

Hello, graham, i've been playing your mod for about 20 minutes and i must tell you STOP SAYING YOUR MOD LAGS, it does not lag at all, it runs extremelly smooth at 800x600 and very very fast, i can't even notice textures loading (like it were already loaded.)
I like the fast & furious cars and others like dodge viper, honda nsx and lamborgini murcielago, but there are a few ugly cars i don't like (skoda, mini, etc.)it's just that we have different tastes (or likings, i don't remember how it's said in english).
The handling of the cars are very very good, i like them. they jump and do loops in the air but almost always land on foot (on wheels).
The texures.... well i prefer mine, but they work, if you say that the game lags then it must be your computer it's too slow, and because of this i think that the textures are ok for playing smoothly in your computer because they must be very light in Kbs.
oh, and you forgot a backup folder with 85Megabytes in size,so your mod could be more light if you delete it and upload again.
i didn't had to re-install models folder, textures loaded ok at first time, it must be that i already had my mod installed and i didn't touched the settings, so the game used same settings from config file in gta3 user files.
I copied the audio folder from another gta3 installation to be able to play without the cd, because I don't know where it is, and it's late at night and my family are sleeping so i didn't want to make noise searching for it.
i still haven't seen all your work because i'm still starting the first missions, but what i've seen it's great, keep it up the good work.
About the mod lagging, that was my old PC Where it lagged, it does not on my new PC.
It won't lag for everyone, just for me because i had a rubbish graphic card.
But my new one was much better, and runs faster.
So really it depends on your system specs.
For the cars, it's because i couldn't find any good one's, but for V2 I converted some more (Like honda civic tuning, etc)

i ahve a prob with ur V2 mod http://www.part.lt/p-66b1cead110dde2d31fe088349910358177.jpg this happens when i install it. i tried to re-install, remove the .txt but its still the same. Do you know whats the prob?
